2024 TAG NW Awards nominations are now open and table sponsorships are available for the big event
Calling all tech aficionados ! We are bringing back the TAG NW Innovation Awards to recognize and celebrate the best of the best in Whatcom and Skagit County’s thriving technology scene!
Mark your calendars for May16th, because that’s when we’ll be rolling out the red carpet (or maybe a blue screen?) for a night of food, libations, entertainment, and, of course, coveted Light Bulb awards at Bellingham’s Holiday Inn Ballroom
Think New Business of the Year, Workplace of the Year, Technology & Innovation Educator of the Year – we’ve got categories for everyone. And guess what? Nominations are open to the public! So if you know a tech whiz who deserves some serious recognition, head over to our website and submit your nomination by March . Don’t be shy, even self-nominations are welcome!

Nominations: Nominate your favorite business in the categories of New Business of the Year, Social Good Award, Tech Business Leader of the Year, Workplace of the Year, Technology & Innovation Star Student Award, Technology & Innovation Educator Award, Sustainability Award, and Innovation of the Year. Our Award Categories
New Business of the Year
Honoring young companies (1-4 years) pioneering the technological frontier in Whatcom & Skagit Counties.
Social Good Award
Showcasing individuals, community members, elected officials or organizations using technology to create positive social impact, creating equity for underserved or marginalized communities.
Tech Business Leader of the Year
Leads with vision and drives innovation, delivering significant value (e.g., revamped IT, boosted profit/efficiency, advanced mission) and/or inspired their teams and the broader tech community. Open to CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, or equivalent leadership roles.
Workplace of the Year
Celebrating companies that fuel creativity and growth through tech employee empowerment.
Sustainability Award
Celebrating the most creatively conceptualized and executed solution to a critical sustainability challenge.
Innovation of the Year
Highlighting the innovation that brought the future closer to the present with its transformative impact developed in Whatcom or Skagit Counties.
Technology & Innovation Star Student Award
This award honors a post-secondary student whose creativity, leadership and critical thinking demonstrates potential for positive impact in the tech sector.
Technology & Innovation Educator Award
Recognizing those who champion talent development and equip future tech leaders with essential skills.
