TAGNW is excited to begin community outreach for the Whatcom Community College Software Development Program, which will launch a new software development associate degree in fall 2021, pending approval. WCC has partnered with TAGNW to assist with program development, and we appreciate the opportunity to Strengthen Our Technology Community. Our goal is to engage with industry, understand real-world priorities, and integrate the knowledge and experience from the community into the new program.
Here are a few ways you can participate right now:
-
Provide your feedback in our community input campaign survey.
-
Join our virtual focus group discussion on September 25th @ 10am-12pm. RSVP for meeting details.
-
Join our curriculum development workshop (DACUM) on October 21st @ 2:30pm-5pm. Inquire if interested.
- Arrange to become an Industry Partner to host software development student interns beginning Winter 2022.
Your experience and input is invaluable to determine skills and qualities necessary for entry level positions in software development, potential work-based learning opportunities for students, industry hiring demand, and availability of local candidates. We appreciate your help!
