TAGNW is excited to welcome Leslie Brendible as our new Program Coordinator! Leslie will focus on coordinating our many existing programs, including Mentorship, Service Corps, and Whatcom STEM, and help launch our new programs, including Job Shadow, Volunteers, and Wellness.
Please join us in welcoming Leslie personally when you have the opportunity, and enjoy her introduction below.
Hi there! My name is Leslie Brendible, I’m an Indigenous woman and my nations are Tsimshian and Blackfeet. I recently graduated from Whatcom Community College with a BAS in IT Networking & Cybersecurity. I’m incredibly passionate about bridging the gap between people and technology. I can’t wait to continue the work I’ve started at TAGNW and create positive impact and long-lasting change within our community through my role as Program Coordinator. My previous experience with TAGNW includes being a TAGNW scholarship recipient, mentee in the Mentorship program, guest speaker at Bash 2021, and the very first student intern for the Service Corps program this past Spring.
My goals at TAGNW include creating a committee focused on DEI and BIPOC topics to provide support for the local technology and business communities, providing opportunities for professional development and personal growth, creating accessible and equitable technology education, and further developing TAGNW programs.
In my free time, I enjoy gaming with my friends, watching horror movies, live local music, and laughing way too loud.
Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at leslie.brendible@tagnw.org or connect with me on LinkedIn.
