TAGNW + Bellingham Codes Scholarship Fundraiser raises over twelve thousand dollars for student scholarships

By August 24, 2021Community, TAGNW

We are delighted to share that the TAGNW + Bellingham Codes Scholarship Fundraiser in April was an enormous success! In total, we raised $12,666.16 to support local technology students. Two separate fundraisers were executed in parallel, and those funds have been delivered to the foundations at BTC, NWIC, WCC, and WWU providing nine student scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Supporting the TAGNW Scholarship general fund we raised $6,386.76 to support students at BTC, NWIC, WCC, and WWU. Four scholarships are provided of $1,596.96. We additionally supported a special scholarship fund to support technology students at Northwest Indian College (NWIC) and raised a total of $6,279.40. Five scholarships are provided of $1,255.88. In addition to financial support, all TAGNW Scholarship recipients receive a FREE TAGNW Student Membership, which includes access to all TAGNW programs and events, such as Predictions, Expo, Bash, Summit, Community Groups, and Mentorship.

Thank you everyone who donated! Special appreciation and recognition for Andrea Frost and Dr. Carl Willis Ford. Their donations of $1,000 or more each are recognized as a conamed scholarship! Our scholarship provided to WCC will be conamed with Dr Carl Willis-Ford, two of our six scholarships provided to NWIC will be conamed with Andrea Frost, and one scholarship will be conamed with Superfeet. Incredible! Thank you SO MUCH for your contributions.

Our new year of student scholarship fundraising kicks off with the return of in-person events with the TAGNW Bash 2021 Scholarship Fundraiser on September 9th! See our announcement and event website for details, tickets, and to donate! We are excited to share our increased donation goal and the inclusion of Skagit Valley College. Our goal this year is to raise $9,000 to support students of BTC, NWIC, SVC, WCC, and WWU. Thank you all for your support!
