The Board of the Technology Alliance Group (TAG) is thrilled to welcome Ianthe Andress as its new Executive Director (ED).
Ianthe has a diverse leadership and managerial background in the military, non-profit and business worlds. She is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and worked as an Australian Air Force Intelligence Officer. Ianthe has a BA from the University of New South Wales and a Master’s in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego’s School of Business.
In the non-profit world, Ianthe was the Development and Database Manager at Texas State Aquarium and upon moving to Bellingham she joined the tech executive search company, Parker Remick, as its Business Operations Manager. She played an integral role in founding the non-profit Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists and has run her own consulting company for the past 7 years.
“We believe that Ianthe has the best combination of skills needed to take TAG forward and upward” said Bill Miller, TAG Board Member and Head of the TAG ED Search Committee.
TAG’s Board President, David LeBow shared his enthusiasm: “As TAG approaches its 20th year, we’re excited to welcome a new ED. The TAG Board and I are looking forward to working with her to both grow our organization as well as to continue to improve our service to the tech and business communities of NW Washington. Many thanks to our outgoing ED, Meg Weber, for her years of service to TAG and please join me in giving Ianthe a warm TAG welcome as she continues and expands upon that great work.”
Ianthe is excited to build upon TAG’s solid foundation within our community: “I look forward to keeping TAG relevant to our membership, reaching out to those in tech jobs who aren’t in ‘traditional’ tech companies, continuing TAG’s strong relationship with our regional colleges, and showcasing the positive impact our region’s companies have on our community.”
