TAG Mentorship

TAG Mentorship is a new TAG Member program to Strengthen Our Technology Community as we invite TAG Members to connect and share knowledge, experience, and expertise. Join us in making lasting relationships and invest in the next generation of the TAG community.

Please review the TAG Mentorship Program Overview below and complete the TAG Mentorship Application to participate as a mentee, mentor, or both. The TAG Membership Committee reviews applications and matches participants. See below for details.

Program Updates

Applications are open NOW for the relaunch of TAG Mentorship. Matching and kickoff in January. Mentorship activities January – May. Wrap event in early June.

Program Overview


  • Be at least 18 years old. (By kickoff date: Jan 14, 2020)
  • Be a TAG Member. (By kickoff date: Jan 14, 2020)
  • Agree to follow the TAG Code of Conduct.
  • Agree to follow the TAG Mentorship Guidelines.
  • Complete the TAG Mentorship Application.


  • Applicants are intelligently matched by the TAG Membership Committee to pair a mentee and mentor 1-on-1 with shared personal and professional interests.
  • TAG Mentorship follows the cohort model. In addition to a mentorship partner, mentors and mentees will participate in scheduled group (cohort) meetings.
  • TAG will provide shared resources, including private discussion channels on the TAG Community Hub, and a new TAG Mentorship Knowledgebase for both reference and contribution.
  • Note: For those that have already participated in TAG Mentorship, please complete a new application to update our records and collect your new information and feedback.

Fall 2020 – Spring 2021 Cohort Calendar

November 1st: Applications Open
January 7th: Matching Begins
January 14th: Kickoff Event
January – May: 1-on-1 Mentorship Activities 1-2 times per month
January – May: Cohort Group Meetings 1-2 times per month
June 3rd: Wrap Event


  • Commit to a minimum of three hours of mentorship activities per month, including two hours of activity with your mentorship partner, and one hours of group activity.
  • Mentees must take ownership of arranging meetings with their mentor.
  • Be kind, courteous, and professional. Represent yourself mindfully.
  • If absent or late, please notify your mentorship partner as soon as possible.
  • If meeting in person, all company policies of meeting locations must be followed.
  • No sharing of photos or information of your mentorship partner.
  • Avoid situations that could be perceived as inappropriate.
  • All activities are recommended as audio, video and text chat via the TAG Community Hub due to coronavirus concern.
  • All activities outside of official TAG events are at individual discretion.
  • Any deviation from these guidelines must be communicated ASAP to the TAG Mentorship Coordinator.
  • Reminder: Both mentees and mentors are volunteers. Please practice common sense.
