We are a community to advance individuals and the tech sector.  A resource to advocate and inform our local tech professionals and employers.

The Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington (TAG) was formed in 1999 as the Bellingham/Whatcom Technology Alliance Group to address the needs of a growing technology industry in Whatcom County. As the industry evolved, membership grew and TAG’s mission to promote, educate, and advocate for Northwest Washington technology businesses positively impacted an increasing number of companies.

We believe Bellingham is a great place to live, work and play.

We do this through work that focuses on the following areas:

Connected Community

Building communities of best practices, events, networking opportunities & professional development activities

Workforce and Educational Development

Ensuring we have a well-trained and skilled talent base for companies to draw on for employees.

Friendly Policy

Advocating for policies and laws locally that strengthen and support high tech companies & their ability to do business (taxes, facilities, parking, traffic)

Technology Infrastructure

Supporting improved broadband infrastructure, facilitate access to business support services, and promote University R&D and industry partnerships.

How We Do It

We directly support those companies and their leaders who are engaged in everyday development, adaptation, and implementation of technology by a majority of staff. Additionally, we engage and empower those professionals who support companies in utilizing technology to optimize their business processes.

We work closely with our partners to connect our members with resources and support each other’s efforts around common goals. View TAG Partners.
