The Bellingham/Whatcom Technology Alliance Group (TAG) was formed in 1999 to address the needs of a growing technology industry in Whatcom County.

As the Northwest tech industry has evolved, our membership has grown and we’ve become a community focussed on advancing both individuals and the tech sector and a resource to advocate and inform our local tech professionals and employers.

Our mission is to engage, inspire and help Northwest Washington area tech businesses and professionals to thrive.

Community Connections

Building communities of best practices, events, networking opportunities and professional development activities.

Workforce and Educational Development

Working with higher education institutions to ensure we have a well-trained and skilled talent base for companies to draw on for employees.

Friendly Policies

Advocating for policies and laws locally that strengthen and support high tech companies and their ability to do business (taxes, facilities, parking, traffic).

Technology Infrastructure

Supporting improved broadband infrastructure, facilitate access to business support services, and promote University R&D and industry partnerships.

How We Do It

We directly support companies and leaders who are engaged in everyday development, adaptation and implementation of technology. We also engage and empower professionals who support companies in utilizing technology to optimize their business processes.

We work closely with our partners to connect our members with resources and support each other’s common goals.
