We will take a break in our Monthly Speaker Series on Friday, March 19. We hope you will choose to join us at the Social Media Conference instead! We will resume our monthly TAG luncheon and speaker program again in April.
TAG seeking to link technology businesses with research and technical expertise at 
TAG is leading a project funded by the Port of Bellingham that seeks to promote university-industry partnerships and opportunities for companies to access technical expertise, research and development resources at Western Washington University, our local colleges and private R&D resources.
Our goal is to enable companies to leverage their research and development funding by gaining access to faculty expertise and specialized equipment. It also will benefit the schools by encouraging faculty and students to engage in commercially relevant research, developing new technologies and enhancing the local technology labor pool, states Anna Ehnmark, Executive Director of TAG

This year’s 15th annual Industry Achievement Awards will celebrate the vibrant technology community in the state of Washington. Through 8 award categories, covering all technology segments, Washington Technology Industry Association will recognize the accomplishments of the brightest companies, individuals and students in our state during the past year.
Washington is well known for nature and innovative minds. Here both live in conjunction and inspire one other. This event will celebrate and explore the technology behind lifestyle elements that attract great minds to our state. Call for Applications is Now Closed. Finalists will be announced in January, 2010.

Is your listing in the Whatcom Technology Directory up to date?
TAG recently launched an online comprehensive directory of technology businesses in Whatcom County. The Technology Business Directory, the only one of its kind in Northwest Washington now contains information about 600 businesses in a variety of technology sectors including information technology, equipment and instrumentation manufacturing, and professional, scientific and technical services such as engineering and architectural services.
Company listings in the directory are free. TAG members qualify for a premium listing. Technology businesses have the ability to manage their information directly through the nwtechdirectory.com website.

WTIA recently launched a job board. Job postings are free to all TAG and WTIA member companies and free to all job seekers. Non-member companies can post a 60-day post for $75. To learn more please visit wtiajobs.org.
