LeRoy Miller
My
name is LeRoy Miller. I was born in Athens, Greece. I grew up most of
my life in central New York until I moved to Silverdale, WA in fifth
grade. I graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 2004, where I received approx. 30 credit hours for AP classes taken.
I am very passionate about programming and mathematics. Math fascinates
me while programming entertains me. I play basketball and video games
in my free time, and was a starter on my high schools varsity
basketball team. We earned fifth in state and was offered numerous
chances to play for community colleges around the state. However I
chose academics over athletics and continued on to WWU.
I am studying computer science and mathematics because these are the
two things that I am truly passionate about. I hope to work someday as
a software engineer (dream job is to work for Google),
but at this point I am leaving my options open. I plan on possibly
continuing on for my masters in Artificial intelligence, something that
seems amazing to me, but as I have said, am keeping my options open
since I am still only a freshman. Thank you again TAG for this gracious
award and helping me on my path to continue to learn and study my
passion.
