Dear Members & Guests:
We are very pleased to have as our guest speaker this month (program)
Technology Alliance Group (TAG) Monthly Luncheon
Topic: “How a Local Tech company- LumenIQ, Inc. wins big business with
a Multinational company"
On April 15, 2005 the Technology Alliance Group (TAG) hosts a
presentation by Steve Brinn, Chief Executive Officer of LumenIQ, Inc on
the trial and tribulations of cutting a deal with a multi-national
company, Motorola. Steve will tell the story of LumenIQ: a
Bellingham-based software development company focused on the
application of image perception technology to commercial needs. What
they do, how they do it, where they've been, the ups and downs of their
business, and why Whatcom County is important to them.
Before joining LumenIQ, Mr. Brinn served nine years as President and
Vice Chairman at Trillium Corporation, a private investment company
involved in, among other things, early stage investment in technology
companies. Prior to joining Trillium, Mr. Brinn was managing partner
at a leading Northwest Washington law firm, with a practice focusing on
corporate and commercial matters.
This event will be held on April 15, 2005 from noon to 1:15 pm at the
DIS Building at 1305 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham. The event is free for
members, and $10 at door for non-members to cover lunch. Details and
RSVP: Paul Grey, 756-8080.
More information on LumenIQ, Inc
"LumenIQ, Inc (“LumenIQ”) develops and licenses technology to improve
human perception of scientific image data. Technical advances in
scientific imaging systems have significantly improved data capture,
processing and display capacities. These advances have not been
matched by improvements directly aiding human perception of images. As
a result, human perception limitations constitute the “weakest link” in
many scientific image processing sequences.
LumenIQ produces software that improves human perception of image data
and can generate improved diagnostic results. Lumen’s additive
technology improves user perception without interrupting workflow.
Current applications are designed for integration into OEM medical and
forensic imaging systems. Other products are envisioned."
