Build it and they will come! Right! If only this were true. Well, since it isn't we have lined up a person who makes it his living to find leads for technology based products. His name is Colin McWhinney and his company is Telepath Consulting. His topic will be... “Filling the Sales Pipeline: How to Generate Real-Time Leads and Keep Them Warm”.
Generating sales leads and managing prospects has always been a necessary evil for businesses, no matter what their size, especially smaller companies. The recent economic downturn is causing marketing professionals to focus on quicker and more cost-effective lead generation. In a report entitled "Improving Sales Effectiveness in a Down Economy," analyst firm The Yankee Group states: "Solving the lead management problem is especially critical in challenging economic times. Companies need to prevent each lead from falling through the cracks - which happens 70 to 80 percent of the time - or from going stale."
Colin's presentation will focus on marketing and business professionals getting a better understanding of how to leverage available lead generation media, including advertising, email and phone campaigns, or a combination thereof. This session will also touch on the concept of “consideration pipeline” or lead nurturing, which is all about having consistent and meaningful communication with viable prospects, regardless of their timing to buy.

After 10 successful years as a Sales and Marketing executive with several multinational corporations, Colin started Telepath Consulting in 1997.
