TAG Announces 2008 TAG Board of Directors - New Directors: Aaron Booker, Dr. Matthew Dunn and Felicity Dye

TAG, the Technology Alliance Group for Northwest Washington is proud to announce the recent additions of Aaron Booker of Hardlines Company, Dr. Matthew Dunn of Socratech, Inc and Felicity Dye of Interconnect Systems to its 2008 Board of Directors.

TAG's Board of Directors is comprised of 9 business and community leaders. The board governs and drives the strategic direction of TAG, which promotes, educates and advocates for technology business and IT professionals in Northwest Washington.

“We are delighted to welcome Aaron Booker, Dr. Matthew Dunn and Felicity Dye to the TAG board. Their expertise and insight will undoubtedly help our team of board members in developing programs and services that meet the needs of our members and technology community," said Robin Halliday, Board President of TAG.


The three new board members are:

Aaron Booker
is the founder and President of Hardlines Company, a Live Webcasting and Outsourced IT company. Prior to starting his current business he was a traveling salesman for Morse Hardware and Jensen Distribution Company. Mr. Bookers background also includes founding and running an Internet consulting business and serving as the General Manager for Alpha Tech Computers. Booker currently serves as Chair of the Whatcom Community College Foundation.

Booker will serve in the newly added TAG Board role as the Chair of Workforce Development.

Dr. Matthew Dunn is the founder of Socratech, a business strategy and technology consulting company based in Bellingham. Dr. Dunn is an experienced executive and technologist, public speaker, and author. His past accomplishments include CEO and President of MusicIP, nearly a decade at Microsoft Corporation, founding Executive Director of HTNG, and serving as Senior Vice President and CIO for Intrawest Corporation. Dr. Dunn also serves on the Board of Directors of the Whatcom Museum.


Dunn will serve as the Chair of Community Partnerships on the TAG Board of Directors.

Felicity Dye is the General Manager and co-owner of Interconnect Systems. Interconnect System, based in Bellingham and founded in 1979 serves the telecommunication needs of clients from Seattle to the Canadian Border. Dye brings 24 years experience in management, marketing, merchandising and customer service.

Dye will serve as the Chair of Membership on the TAG Board of Directors.

  The following board members were re-elected to serve as Directors of the Board during 2008:

  • Paul Grey, Chair from PIER Systems, Inc;
  • Robin Halliday, President and responsible for Education and Vocations, Retired VP of DIS Corporation;
  • Allen Pemberton, Programs from Pemberton Consulting;
  • Dr. Arlan Norman, Northwest Consortium for Technological Innovation and Development from the College of Sciences & Technology WWU;
  • Jack Grant, Secretary and Advocacy from Jack H. Grant, P.S.;
  • Tom Lenderman, Treasurer from Larson Gross P.L.L.C; 
  • Anna Ehnmark, ex-officio

TAG thanks the following parting Board members for their dedicated efforts in the past years: Bob Jones, Community Partnerships from The Socrates Group; and Robert Takemura, Memberships from Applied Digital Imaging.
