The Technology Alliance Group expands programs to IT professionals in all industries
TAG created the new membership category to help IT professionals network, enhance their skills and stay-up-to date on industry trends. TAG offers the advantage of monthly meetings highlighting member businesses and featuring a variety of respected industry speakers. In addition TAG provides access to special interest groups (SIGs) where IT professionals meet to discuss a common interest in a particular topic.
“We currently have a very active .Net developers group that meet monthly to advance their knowledge of .Net software. As TAG continues to grow we keep expanding our member programs and services to better serve the needs of our members”, states Anna Ehnmark, Executive Director of TAG.
Tom Lenderman, IT Director at Larson Gross PLLC, is a key supporter of TAG’s outreach to IT departments. “I am glad to see TAG extend the benefits of membership to IT professionals working in traditional industries. In addition to providing education and access to resources TAG offers IT professionals a forum to network and learn directly from peers. Then of course it is also exciting to be part of a group that is looking at ways to shape the future of the local technology economy.”
TAG is affiliated with the WSA, the state’s oldest and largest technology trade organization with more than 1,000 member companies and as a member of TAG technology professionals also enjoy membership in WSA. The partnership with WSA provides local technology companies and professionals enhanced networking, advocacy, and educational opportunities. In addition WSA offers TAG members the power of a considerable purchasing cooperative, leveraging the buying power of an association in providing for business services such as health insurance packages.
TAG currently offers five other membership categories: industry, associate, partner, individual and student. The new IT department membership classification offers a cost effective way for larger businesses in traditional industries to take advantage of TAG’s member benefits.
