Dear Members & Guests:fire collage.gif

Join us on Friday, May 18 to learn about a popular new educational program on Video Game Design offered to local high school students. Video Game Design is a very unique instructional program offered to Whatcom County high school students through an interdistrict cooperative sponsored by the Tech Prep Consortium.  Students learn how to turn their passion for video games, art, graphic design or technology into a future career in the multi-billion-dollar video game industry.  Many of the skills used in the production of video games are also heavily used in careers related to: forensics, security, aerospace, biotechnology, construction, digital media, health care, web design and a host of other fields.  Computerized simulation and modeling are now standard techniques used in many business environments.

The class is taught in a state-of-the-art lab in cooperation with DigiPen Institute of Technology (Nintendo).  Video Game Design integrates programming and design/animation through innovative hands-on experiences.  The course content includes C++ programming, video game development, two- and three-dimensional design and computer graphic design. The presentation will include a demonstration of student work.

Join us in May to learn more about this unique instructional program and to get an introduction to video game design.

This will be a popular meeting so please RSVP by clicking as soon as possible.
