This month the Technology Alliance Group (TAG) is very pleased to invite Fred Miller, Business Development Director of Accelitec, Inc to speak on the
topic of using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in customer transactions. RFID is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. RFID technology is quickly gaining momentum for a wide variety of uses, most commonly for asset tracking and supply chain management.
Locally, Accelitec, Inc. has developed a breakthrough in the use of RFID at "the front of the store," that is, for secure, personalized customer transactions. From the start-up phase, developing a patented device and process, launching its first pilot projects, and recently landing a major partnership agreement with a global Point of Sale company, Accelitec has been through the gamut of growing a technology company. Fred Miller, Director of Business Development for Accelitec, will discuss the company's approach to getting started in a vast retail payments market, lessons learned, and its exciting plans for the future.

As sales manager at FiberCloud, Fred's sales and marketing efforts helped the Internet data center survive the dot-com crash and emerge as a profitable regional technology hub.
